An independent analysis and communications agency: rethinking development and the 'third world'.

Zamyn is a Farsi word meaning 'ground' or 'earth'.

Zamyn foresees a world in which emerging countries are more widely acknowledged as integral to shaping the global economy, and works in collaboration with leading global corporations as agents of that recognition.

Zamyn's programmes are biennial cultural forums, which bring together visionary figures from economics and business with those from visual art, literature, psychoanalysis and cultural studies to analyse key subjects of the 'global' era, such as capital, citizenship, identity and innovation.

Zamyn's organisational structure is made up of a Board of Directors, Circle, Council and Management and Associates. It comprises influential figures from academia, global business, literature, psychoanalysis and visual art, as well as leading campaigners.

These include Baroness Amos, Kwame Anthony Appiah, Edwin Cameron, John Forrester, Paul Gilroy, Antony Gormley, Yusuf Hamied, Isaac Julien, Anish Kapoor, William Kentridge, Hari Kunzru, Hanif Kureishi, Darian Leader, Daniel Libeskind, Steve McQueen, Sir Mark Moody-Stuart, Shirin Neshat, Baroness Neuberger DBE, Gillian Slovo, Lord Smith, Clive Stafford Smith, Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak and Elia Suleiman.
